On Friday 23rd January, our new buildings arrived on site. A fantastic team were on site to help the delivery to go smoothly – it was no mean feat getting an oversized load across site and craning a building over the top of the existing toilet block! Now for a clean up, fit out, plumbing and wiring. Once done, Earleywood will be able to offer separate facilities for adults and young people.
We have exciting news! We have been donated a new toilet block and an additional building by Syngenta. This means we will be able to have separate toilet facilities for adults and young people. Over the past few weeks, our volunteer team have prepared the ground, dug holes and created the concrete pads for the buildings to sit on. Our huge thanks to Syngenta for donating the buildings and to Manor Mix Concrete for a significantly reduced price on concrete and for fitting us in for delivery just before Christmas. We are almost ready for the delivery of the buildings in the New Year! We will keep you updated on our progress.
We have pitched a large marquee next to the picnic area outside the Rowney Building. This is a non-bookable, shared resource so please coordinate with others using the site. Whether you’re camping and need somewhere to store kit whilst striking camp or are visiting Earleywood for the day and want to use it as a base, our marquee is there for you to use!
